Now you dont need cash to travel on our buses, you can buy tickets and passes at the touch of a button on your smart phone!
It takes just a few minutes to download the app, register your details and once done, you are ready to start buying tickets.
It's quick and easy to pay using a debit or credit card or even Barclays Pingit! You can buy Diamond Day, Week and Monthlies, tickets bought on the app are stored on your phone; all you need to do is show the driver the activated ticket screen and away you go!
How to Use the New Diamond App...
Just follow the quick step by step guide:
I-phone users: go to the Apple Store to download the app, and once you've done so, register your information and input your card details, or use PingIt. (These are held securely and we won’t share your information with anyone else.)
Android users: go to the Android Play Store to download the app, and once you've done so, register your information and input your card details, or use PingIt. (These are held securely and we won’t share your information with anyone else.)
Having registered you can log in and straight away you can add the ticket you wish to purchase to your basket and click complete when you are ready to buy it.
Confirm your payment and your Diamond ticket will be stored in the 'Your Tickets' section at the bottom of the screen on the app. It is then ready for you to activate when you are ready to use it.
Tickets purchased on the app will be mobile phone tickets, therefore please ensure you purchase them on the device that your wish to use as your mobile ticket. You will need internet or 3G signal to purchase a ticket.
Your ticket will need to be activated to use it on the bus.
You will need internet or 3G signal to activate a ticket. Your ticket is valid from the moment you activate it and its expiry will count down from then. You should activate each ticket individually and only when you require it for travel.
Simply show the activated ticket on your smart phone screen to the driver when boarding the bus. Drivers may check the code word and colours are valid for travel that day by referring to the Ticket Machine.
